Events that go ahead will do so based on current government social distancing guidelines for small outdoor groups. These events are low risk in terms of C-19 transmission due to being in an outdoor setting and in small groups.
Some events are run with partner organisations such as the National Trust, or at locations where more stringent COVID-19 measures/polices are in place and we must adhere to their protocols and risk assessments. Currently Killerton National Trust events are all cancelled until at least the end of 2020, and there may be a reduction in these type of events in 2021 as a result of this.
Following a COVID-19 risk assessment, a number of additional safety measure have been put in place to reduce risk and maintain safety, comfort, and quality of content for everyone attending events:
Attendees must not have any c19 symptoms (vouchers will be issued for late cancellations due to this, please contact [email protected] with the course title and course booking confirmation to receive a voucher)
Reduced group sizes to allow for social distancing
Attendees must bring and use their own hand sanitiser
No passing around of plants between attendees
No passing around of tasters (though C-19 safe wild tasters may still be provided)
Face masks are optional in an outdoor setting. The course leader will not wear a face covering to allow for clear communication
Attendees are required to inform Wild & Curious Foraging if they develop C19 symptoms within 7 days of the event
If the situation with COVID-19 changes such that running outdoor events must be cancelled, ticket holders will be emailed a voucher valid for 18 months, transferrable to any course booked directly by Wild & Curious Foraging (rather than a partner organisation).
